Hello, I’m Claire Blandy, a freelance conceptual graphic designer & illustrator with over 13 years experience working within the creative industry. I’ve worked for big brands, small companies and advertising agencies. I have specialities in many areas including strategy, planning, comms, illustration, web design, social and print design. Whilst wearing many hats throughout my career, I have also built lots of strong relationship. I am currently based between London and Hastings. My life so far.
1988. I was born in a snow storm while ‘Lucky’ by Kyle Minogue was No.1.
2000. I wanted to become an archeologist.
2002. My 14-year-old boyfriend posed as my Dad to give parental consent for my belly-button piercing.
2004. Mr Higgins, my art teacher, told me I was “alright” at art.
Late 2004. I wanted to be an artist.
2006. I worked as a Graphic Designer for a year before Uni, thinking I’d made my picasso-esque debut.
2007 til 2010. I studied Graphic Design & how to quickly spend a student loan, at Leeds Uni.
2011til 2015. I worked as a conceptual Art Director in advertising at iris, M&C Saatchi & ODD London.
2015. I went back to study design at Shillington College for 3-months, to learn some more stuff.
2016 onward. Working both permanent and freelance for Innocent & still pretending to be an artist.
2024. Going freelance once again, working for many B-Corp brands.

What do I specialise in? Conceptual graphic design, illustration, strategy, comms, digital, social, packaging & branding.

Where have I worked? M&C Saatchi on TfL, Boots, Macmillan & Toni & Guy. Iris New York & London on Durex, Adidas, Jack Daniel’s, VW, o2, Rimmel & AirWick. ODD London on Primark, Dr Martens & Asahi. Innocent Drinks on packaging, ATL campaigns & social. I have also worked for other B-Copr brands and start-ups as a freelance designer.
